My friend's supra was flooded. Water came up about 6" inside while it was parked. But it still runs good just normal maintennance problems. Hope it's ok with your car.: RATS! And no, not democRATS.. but @#$%@$%%$.... : I guess this is my punishment for not hanging out on tt.net so much anymore.. anyways, in the recent heavy South Florida rains.. my car (which was NOT being driven) was flooded. I had left it in a parking lot and when I got back to it, it was in about a foot of water. : Anyways, the water was about a 4-6 inches high INSIDE the passenger compartment, so I presume the computer is worth sh*t now, wonder about the rest of the wiring, including the drivers side seat, and the stuff behind the two seats (the amplifier dealie behind the driver, not sure how wet that got.. my beautiful 575 watts subwoofer amp, mounted under the passenger seat, is now a corroded paper weight). : The car was not being driven, and I dont think there is water in the intake. Anyways, I called my insurace (State Farm) and they told me not to try to drive it, that they will have it picked up by some company and checked out.. however the claims guy DID say that since the car was so old (1991, 135000 miles), that the car might have to be totaled... : At this point, I am over the disaster, and am trying to think practically.. am I better off if they total the car? I guess I could always.. uh, find ways to convince them to totall the car... My fear is that if they fix what is needed, and the car runs fine (for now..), maybe 6 months down the road, the corrosion bug will start to bite, and the wiring and all that stuff will start going bad on me, etc etc.. Maybe I am better off if they just write the car off in that case?.. : Damn.. I had a FEELING that I should have moved my car to higher ground that morning, poor 1991 TT..
